Hardcast 92-6-2, 20/1, pure lead, wheel weight, linotype, or custom mixtures. We are not locked into a specific metal for your bullets. Whatever alloy works best for your application is what we will use.
Our softer "Cowboy-Action" alloy is great for shooting steel plates because the bullet tends to deform and drop instead of shattering upon impact. This results in less lead "splatter" and fewer potentially dangerous ricochets. These polymer coated "cowboy" bullets start at less than $0.10 each in boxes of 250.
Being a small company that operates on a part-time basis, we prefer to interact with shooters on a personal basis.
When a customer asked for hard-hitting cast bullets for his .45-70 lever action rifle we accepted the challenge!
The result was these 340 grain Round Nose Flat Point (RNFP) polymer-coated bullets that were hand cast using a custom mould from champion shooter and mould maker - Steve Brooks. Sized to the customer specified .458", this alloy was developed to fit the specific demands of big bore hunting utilizing smokeless powder.
Even with the personal effort that included hand casting and hand sizing of each bullet, we kept the price down to $40.00 per 100.
This is just one of many examples of our willingness to work with the reloader to supply them with the bullets they need to be effective.
Our successful use of moulds from Steve Brooks have resulted in several satisfied long-range shooters and hunters.
This picture is 100 of our 550 grain Flat Point hunting bullets hand-cast in 20-1 alloy for black powder cartridge rifles (BPCR). We harvested a mature bison with one shot, using this bullet in our Shiloh Sharps Quigley rifle, at a distance of 175 yards.
Although a lot of effort goes into hand casting and hand sizing of each bullet, the cost is only $65.00 per 100.
And yes. We offer these bullets, and many others, in alloys that are suitable for use with smokeless powder applications.
