Description:
The NRA Basic Metallic Cartridge Reloading course exposes students to the basics of reloading centerfire metallic cartridges with little or no prior experience in reloading.
Although some instructors believe that the course can be completed quickly, the amount of information presented and the personal attention that we give to every question on the included topics, makes it likely that the course will take longer. Please plan on this course lasting approximately 8 hours.

- Centerfire Cartridge Components
- Using the Reloading Manual and Reloading Data
- Metallic Cartridge Reloading Equipment
- The Metallic Cartridge Reloading Process
- Basic Metallic Cartridge Reloading Practical Exercise
- Course Review and Examination
Course Completion:
- Students will receive feedback on the practical exercises conducted during the course.
- There is a short multiple choice test on the lesson material at the end of the course.
Prerequisites:
The are no prerequisites for taking this course.
What to Bring to Class:
Students need to bring lunch and snacks. Various times for breaks are included in the training schedule.
Important Items:
- Be aware that attention to detail is a vital skill in safe reloading.
- Students will receive the NRA Guide to Reloading handbook and intensive lessons on the basics of reloading and a course completion certificate.
- All course materials, including note taking and eye & ear protection, is provided.
- Students are encouraged to bring their own reloading manuals as a referrence.
- Upon successful course completion, each student will receive a box of bullets provided by Montana Bullet Supply, LLC. (limited to available stock on hand).
- OPTIONAL: After the class is completed, students may (if they choose to do so) shoot the cartridges produced during the class using our private range.
* This course is limited to a maximum of 2 students per class. Both students must register at the same time.
